Consciousness

Maybe consciousness requires only moving energy. Maybe a conscious living being requires a biological vessel, but consciousness exists to varying degrees anywhere energy is moving. Its a romantic thought I suppose, since it teases the concept of an omnipresent consciousness with out suggesting a god or ghost.

For some reason, to me, its easy to imagine consciousness as a continuum. Not contained in biologically distinct vessels but rather, concentrated where the organized systems of moving energy are dense. We recognize consciousness day to day only when its expressed in biologically familiar ways.
